The New Testament describes two offices within the church: elders and deacons. A plurality of elders (pastors) share equally the responsibility and authority to preach and teach, to provide pastoral care, administer, and oversee all affairs of this church. Deacons primarily minister to the physical needs of the church, both corporately and individually. Elders and deacons are to be men called of God who are qualified according to the standards described in 1 Timothy 3:1-13, Titus 1:6-9, and 1 Peter 5:2-3 and have accepted the Pacific Hope Church Statement of Faith.
